I was a throw-away puppy.  Even though I was as adorable as any puppy could ever be, no one wanted me because I was deaf. I was dropped off at the Connecticut Humane Society in the late fall of 1993 when I was only seven or eitht weeks old.  The caretakers there loved me and nicknamed me "Face" because my markings were so cute.  I also was allowed to follow everyone around throughout the day, but no one wanted to adopt me.  By mid-January, the folks at the Society called Connie Bombaci.  She had adopted Hogan in October; and because she was so successful in working with him, they thought she would be perfect for me!

Mama, with encouragement from my new Papa (Jim), decided to be my foster parent until I could learn some sign language and a good family could be found.  She even made a video about me so other people could see what a wonderful puppy I was. But it didn't take long before my new family realized that I was in their home to stay!

I learned lots of different signs - sometimes I acted like I didn't understand but Mama knew better.  I even passed the tests to become a Therapy Dog.  I visited hospitals, convalescent homes, schools, and organizations to share my special love with others, earning special recognition for the work that I did.

I loved my freedom to be outdoors.

Besides absolutely loving my family and new home, I loved being the little sister to India and Hogan. Together, we would get into little mischievous pranks that made our mama smile from ear to ear.

I loved parties

My life was filled with so many blessings that it’s hard to list them all. Getting ice cream was indeed an all-time favorite. Of course, we didn’t get “real” ice cream but got our very owd special doggie ice cream.

“Running the Bunny” was a fabulous sport that Hogan and I completely enjoyed!
